Global Enterprise Voice
Portal Company To Integrate VocalPoint's Voice Browsing
Technology
SAN FRANCISCO, California,
March 12, 2001
VocalPoint Technologies (www.vocalpoint.com), providing the
fastest, easiest way to voice-enable Web content, today announced
a new version of its innovative VocalPoint VoiceBrowser
product designed for easy integration into enterprise voice
portal and Interactive Voice Response (IVR) platforms. Through
integration of VocalPoint's patent-pending HTML browsing
technology into existing IVR platforms, global voice platform
providers can extend their offerings to include voice services
driven directly from live Web content.
While businesses face growing
customer demand for immediate and simple access to information
and services, the reality is that the phone, not the Web,
is ubiquitous. VocalPoint's voice browsing technology automatically
converts HTML and XML content to voice, quickly extending
existing corporate Web assets into phone services with minimal
development requirements.
By integrating VocalPoint's
VoiceBrowser with existing IVR platforms, IVR solution
suppliers can now provide their customers the benefit of Web-based
voice services without expensive content rewriting
efforts.
The first signed global provider
of IVR solutions, software and hosted services has agreed
to integrate and distribute this unique software. "VocalPoint
Technologies is a clear technology leader and this agreement
will add compelling new features to our products and services,"
a company spokesperson said. "VocalPoint's HTML-based
solutions provide a perfect complement to our interactive
voice response platform, and co-exist with our legacy systems
and infrastructure. We'll now be able to seamlessly offer
current and future customers extensive voice services derived
directly from their existing, dynamic HTML content and applications."
"Through these platform
partnership agreements, an expanded range of enterprise customers
will have access to our voice-browsing solutions and the economies
of scale brought about by delivering voice services directly
from existing HTML-based content," said Kurt Losert,
CEO of VocalPoint Technologies. "We're excited to be
working with respected, innovative industry leaders to develop
their private-branded, next-generation of enterprise-wide
voice portals."
