VocalPoint Technologies today announced a partnership to
enable real-time voice access to personalized, context-specific
files and information from corporate, desktop and Internet
sources through any wireless Internet device. Using VocalPoint's
technology, nSeconds will enable its customers to provide
their mobile work forces with immediate voice access to critical
business information drawn from numerous disparate internal
databases and other data sources. This additional method of
communication will afford Global 2000 companies the capacity
to provide superior customer service and enable professionals
to work as effectively on the road as in the office.
VocalPoint offers technology that delivers immediate voice
access to Web content and applications using natural spoken
language via the phone. VocalPoint's voice browsing technology
automatically converts HTML content to voice, quickly extending
existing corporate Web assets into phone services with minimal
development requirements and no rewriting of content.
