Position Summary:

Design, develop, and debug software for a vocal browser that allows users to browse the Web using ordinary telephones. Address issues associated with implementing complex software in an Application Service Provider environment, including scalability, reliability, fail-over and load balancing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with user interface specialists, product management, and customers to clearly define requirements for new and modified features and functions.
• Develop and debug software to implement software as defined by the requirements.
• Work with QA and Release specialists to integrate the code into product builds through the entire development cycle.
• Work with technical writers to create appropriate documentation for installation and support.
• Other tasks to be assigned.

Education:

• BS Computer Science or equivalent required.
• MS Computer Science is desirable.

Experience:

• 1 or more years experience programming in Java required.
• Programming in Windows NT Server, UNIX, or Linux environments required.
• Additional experience with Linux, Perl, C++ or other Object language, HTML, JSGF, and/or scripting languages desirable.
• Experience with a voice application extremely desirable.
